The DM was busy today, and didn't have time to plan for prizes, so give her a moment while she sifts through the SRD's magic Items list, and enjoy this 200 gold for everyone except Ava, since she was injured and didn't participate in the last round.
[18:29:10] <General-EbonRose> Ares gets a small wooden box, inside of which are five vials, tucked beside the vials is a note labeling them to be "universal salvent". Beside the vials is a larger glass bottle.... The bottle is filled with a glittering blue liquid, labeled as a potion of mage armor, three doses.
[18:30:31] <DMentia> Ares eyes the potions dubiously, but doesn't complain, putting them away.
[18:31:30] <General-EbonRose> Kyron is handed a similar box, on the tops of the boxes, by the way, is the symbol of Adgeminostu. Inside his box is a small, fine leather bag, tied with a leather strip and marked "Dust of Tracelessness". Beside the bag is a milky white potion, labeled Sanctuary. Two doses
[18:34:07] <General-EbonRose> Rook! In your box are five tiny feathers, tied to little wooden birds, and a a clear potion with whitish flecks marked Light Healing, three doses.
[18:37:09] <General-EbonRose> Estella gets. Two fairly large vials, marked "Elixer of Swimming" and a potion of cure light as well, three doses.
[18:38:36] <General-EbonRose> Cori's box contains a mummified hand affixed to a golden chain, and a light purplish potion - remove fear three doses.
[18:43:05] <General-EbonRose> The man in charge congratulates you profusely, and also gives you all pamphlets, with some information about Adgemiwhatsherface and his business and trying to restore Hailgate's existing Arena/Colosseum.
[18:44:19] <MugenGinga> Stella is examining the Elixir, attempting to figure out the dosing and thinking she missed a note, when a pamphlet is shoved into her hand. She blinks and looks at it with a slight glance, not really paying any attention to it.
[18:45:20] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava grumpily reads the pamphlet, before shoving it into one of her many pockets.
[18:45:24] <DMentia> Ares keeps mostly silent, a little on edge until they're out of there.
[18:45:36] <SlushpuppieT> Kyron folds his pamphlet and stick it in his box, more concerned about fitting all 4 pounds of gold into his bag.
[18:45:50] <Calawyn> Rook smiles, trying to be polite, but isn't especially interested in restoring arenas.
[18:47:21] <Sephs-Filly> Cori looks at the hand slightly... unnerved, before putting it around her neck. She sticks the pamphlet in her waistband with out much of a glance, instead examining her potion.
[18:48:18] <SlushpuppieT> Kyron looks around, smiling at his companions. "What now?"
[18:48:20] <DMentia> Ares seems impatient. "I really need to fill up my ammo before we do much else..." (What time of day is it? Late at night, right?)
[18:49:08] <General-EbonRose> (it's pretty dark by now)
[18:48:30] <MugenGinga> Stella gives Cori a slight side glance as she puts the mummified hand around her neck. She's sure it has to be magical, but... in any case, her search for the dosing on the Elixir seems to have come up empty, so she closes the box and tucks it in a side pocket of her backpack, having to twist to do so. She is choosing to remain quiet until they are somewhere a little less crowded.
[18:48:57] <Beau-Penemuel> "You have dead hands around your neck?" She says a little enviously, giving her a soft glare. "Lucky.."
[18:50:09] <Sephs-Filly> Cori chuckles softly, feeling a twinge as the hand's magic takes effect.
[18:49:02] <Calawyn> "I should look for that man before he runs off again..." Rook looks about, musing.
[18:49:35] <MugenGinga> Stella looks over at Rook as she speaks, "I'd like to come with you if possible."
[18:49:53] <Calawyn> "That's fine. Help me look for him? It's kind of dark and I'm not sure where he went."
[18:50:06] <DMentia> Ares frowns, realizing that this man was more important, and sighs, scanning over the crowd with all three of his eyes to try to find him."
[18:50:12] <General-EbonRose> Their group isn't hard to spot, all seated around some tables in the field nearby, by a vender selling various foodstuffs and booze. The closest tables to theirs are empty, with people more content to pack into the farthest tables or sit on the ground away from the Trog and his smell. As you approach you notice the man has on a new shirt, and a new tie, this one pink with green stars. It's amazingly hideous.
[18:50:20] <MugenGinga> Stella gives a nod, not voicing her opinion that he seems fairly obvious with his rather red hair.
[18:50:45] <Calawyn> "Oh, there. Come on." Rook nods to Estella and starts towards the other group.
[18:51:01] <MugenGinga> Estella follows, not really caring if the rest of the group has stuck with them much.
[18:51:35] <DMentia> Ares goes with them, staying a bit behind
[18:51:04] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava scoots closer to Cori, poking her. "What now? I feel better but now I'm leeching onto you."
[18:51:48] <Sephs-Filly> Cori chuckles, "I guess we follow. Little else to do." Cori follows after the rest
[18:52:17] <SlushpuppieT> Kyron follows behind Cori and Ava, a "not all there" look on his face while he walks.
[18:52:46] <Sephs-Filly> "Everything ok Kyron?" Cori looks over her shoulder
[18:52:52] <Beau-Penemuel> She quickly gets behind Ares as she playfully steps on his heel so he would trip, a look of mischievous boredom across her face.
[18:53:31] <DMentia> Ares assumes it a mistake, recovering and barely noticing as he moves slightly to the side.
[18:54:02] <Beau-Penemuel> She looks displeased, giving him a silent glare before behaving herself for the time being.
[18:52:29] <Calawyn> Rook smiles in a friendly way as she approaches the other group, trying to ignore the fact that they were attempting to kill each other not long ago. "Hello, there. Nice fight."
[18:53:44] <General-EbonRose> "Definately," growled the Gnoll "Good fight." The goblin looks around nervously, then giggles.
[18:54:34] <Calawyn> Rook focuses on the orange-haired man. "Might I still ask you a few questions?"
[18:54:40] <DMentia> Ares stands tall, giving the goblin what would probably be an intimidating nod and keeping silent.
[18:55:00] <General-EbonRose> The goblins eyes bug a little.
[18:53:23] <SlushpuppieT> "Mmm? Yeah."
[18:53:28] <SlushpuppieT> "That's a lot of money!"
[18:55:05] <Sephs-Filly> Cori nodds, smiling, "Won't have a problem getting your sword now will you. Nothing else you needed, a solid gold chest plate perhaps?" She chuckles, "What are you going to do with your money Ava?"
[18:54:43] <General-EbonRose> The Ginger stands and grabbs a few extra chairs. "Sure."
[18:55:08] <Calawyn> "Thank you." Rook spreads out the chairs, indicating for everyone to make themselves comfortable.
[18:55:20] <Beau-Penemuel> "Yeah, namely, who are you?" She pokes her head above Rooks shoulder from behind, she then looks at Cori, "I have no idea yet."
[18:56:25] <General-EbonRose> The Ginger waits until everyone has a seat before sitting himself. He's about to reply when the Trog grunts something unintelligible, then says "Is our Eddie."
[18:56:27] <Calawyn> Rook tries to look at Ava, surprised at the intervention. "That's a bit blunt, Ava. But, well, I suppose that that would help, knowing who you are."
[18:56:35] <SlushpuppieT> Kyron grabs a seat and pulls out his box of stuff, taking a closer look at the pamphlet along with the rest of the contents.
[18:56:37] <General-EbonRose> The Ginger frowns. "My name isn't Eddie."
[18:57:36] <General-EbonRose> The gnoll laughs. "Sure, but your actually name is stupid."
[18:57:53] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava gets into a chair, leaning onto the table, resting her chin on her palm as she gave him a look. "So what is it? Why are you here in this group? I can't remember much from getting hurt."
[18:58:03] <Sephs-Filly> Cori takes a seat, shooing Model13 when she tried to chew on the hand.
[18:58:33] <Calawyn> "Do you mind telling us who you are? I'm Rook, by the way, it's very nice to meet you." Rook holds out a hand to shake.
[18:58:45] <General-EbonRose> The Ginger scowled at him. "There is nothing wrong with my name."
[18:59:00] <Sephs-Filly> Cori pipes up, "Which is what again?"
[18:59:44] <MugenGinga> Estella has remained quiet during the exchange, choosing to observe rather than participate.
[18:59:53] <Sephs-Filly> "I'm Cori, by th' way." She smiles.
[18:59:55] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava looks impatient and she throws a small piece of wood at him. "Time is ticking."
[19:00:16] <Calawyn> "Hey!" Rook turns and glares at Ava.
[19:00:18] <MugenGinga> She does shoot a glare towards Ava, though. Apparently at the same time Rook does.
[19:00:27] <General-EbonRose> The gnoll snorts, then shakes Rook hand before the Ginger does, perhaps just to annoy him. "I am Avester. The big guy is Gnarl, Stinky is Po, and Shorty is Raskill. Oh and that's the Inevitable."
[19:00:41] <Beau-Penemuel> She looks at them, giving a, "what?" look.
[19:00:55] <General-EbonRose> Eddie/Inevitable glares at Avester, "You just love to ruin my introductions don't you."
[19:01:01] <SlushpuppieT> Kyron opens up his small bag labeled "Dust of Tracelessness" and looks inside, frowning.
[19:01:06] <Calawyn> "The Inevitable?" Rook puzzles.
[19:01:30] <Sephs-Filly> "How'd you gain that name?" Cori tilts her head, interested
[19:01:33] <MugenGinga> Stella frowns, "I assume that's a title?"
[19:01:41] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava finally grows silent, looking confused but satisfied as she leaned back in her chair.
[19:02:07] <General-EbonRose> "It's a title, it's also my name. I didn't gain it, it was given to me when I was born, just like any other name. It'saperfectlyrespectablename."
[19:02:35] <Beau-Penemuel> She rose her eyebrow at the last word, "perfectlyrespectablewha?"
[19:02:47] <Calawyn> "That's fair enough. Do you prefer to be called that?"
[19:02:51] <MugenGinga> Stella blnks in surprise as "Inevitable" insists that it is his actual name.
[19:03:03] <General-EbonRose> Po grunts. "We just call him Eddie, because Gnarl can't pronouce Inevitable."
[19:03:21] <SlushpuppieT> He puts his nose close and cringes back, nearly dropping the bag. He ties it back shut again frowning and chucking it haphazardly back into the box.
[19:03:51] <Sephs-Filly> Cori stares at Kyron, "Everything ok there?"
[19:04:25] <SlushpuppieT> "It smells like old."
[19:03:28] <Beau-Penemuel> "I am not calling you the Inevitable. I rather call you by your hair color."
[19:03:48] <Calawyn> "Ava! You're being very rude." Rook frowns.
[19:04:07] <Calawyn> "This gentleman is doing a favor by letting us ask him questions."
[19:04:08] <DMentia> Ares has his hand to his forehead, shaking his head
[19:04:09] <General-EbonRose> The Ginger/Eddie/whatever shrugs. "I don't really care, just as long as everyone knows that the nicknames are not my actual name. It would confuse people."
[19:05:06] <Sephs-Filly> Cori blinks, not know 'old' was a smell, "Er, do you know what it is?"
[19:09:10] <SlushpuppieT> Kyron glances up from his box. "Er, yeah, I think it hides tracks judging by it's name..." He returns to the box and picks up the vial and pops it open carefully smelling it.
[19:04:30] <MugenGinga> Stella crosses her arms and just fixes another glare on Ava. While the name is... unusual at best, and a little complicated to say, she's secretly rather enjoying Ava finally getting smacked upside the head for her behavior, if only figuratively.
[19:04:31] <Beau-Penemuel> "How am I being rude? He hasn't given me a reason to treat him like a prince. For all I know he could be an assassin." She looks at Kyron for a moment, her dry humor getting even drier.
[19:05:11] <General-EbonRose> The whole group bursts out laughing at "he could be an assassin."
[19:05:25] <MugenGinga> "At least like they're not scum..." Stella mumbles.
[19:05:41] <DMentia> Ares is still standing, and laughs with them, smiling. "She hit her head in the first fight." he explains, finding himself a seat.
[19:05:56] <MugenGinga> Stella isnt able to hold back a slight snort of laughter at Ares hand wave.
[19:05:10] <Calawyn> "You should treat anyone you meet as though they might be a prince until you know that they are an assassin," Rook says. "It's more polite."
[19:06:26] <Calawyn> "Now, The Inevitable. You said that you didn't recognize me, right? And not my friend Ares here, either?" Rook gestures towards Ares.
[19:06:31] <Beau-Penemuel> She considers this, "I apologize for being.. rude." She muttered.
[19:06:36] <DMentia> Ares waves.
[19:07:23] <General-EbonRose> "Er. wow, The Inevitable sounds terrible, just drop the, The..."
[19:07:46] <Calawyn> Rook smiles. "Whatever makes you comfortable."
[19:07:54] <DMentia> Ares grins. "Eddie." he provides.
[19:08:10] <General-EbonRose> Raskill the goblin eyeballs Ava.
[19:08:29] <Beau-Penemuel> "What? Are you serious? he doesn't even like his own nickname and you guys scold me for wanting to give him another one?" She said a little annoyed.
[19:08:36] <DMentia> Ares keeps his blue eye fixed on the goblin
[19:08:39] <General-EbonRose> Eddie smiles. "It's alright really."
[19:08:45] <Sephs-Filly> Cori smiles, "At least it's not ginger like we'd been calling him before."
[19:09:29] <MugenGinga> "Which is a girl's name last I checked anyways," Stella said. She glances at Kyron as he pops open his vial and winces.
[19:09:43] <MugenGinga> (Unless its unisex and her RPer isn't aware of that? XD)

[19:10:12] <SlushpuppieT> He smiles and then dips his finger in the potion and tastes it, a faint golden glow surrounding him for a second or two, although that might have been your imagination.
[19:10:18] <Calawyn> Rook sighs. "In any case... do you recognize either of us?"
[19:10:20] <DMentia> Ares opens his mouth, but thinks twice of it, letting Eddie get to answering the question they asked
[19:10:43] <General-EbonRose> "Uhm... nooo...."
[19:10:52] <General-EbonRose> He squints at you. "Nooo..."
[19:11:08] <General-EbonRose> He cocks his head to one side. "No..."
[19:10:45] <Beau-Penemuel> She looks at the Ginger and gives a curious look. "So.. Uh. Tell us about yourself? Maybe? Or is that rude?" She said a little sarcastically, glaring over at Stella, but not holding any harsh feelings towards her.
[19:10:57] <Sephs-Filly> Cori "Uh.. Kyron, sweety, you might not want to mess with the potions.."
[19:10:57] <SlushpuppieT> "Mm..." He puts the stopper back in and places it back in the box, closing it and returning the box to his bag.
[19:11:33] <MugenGinga> Stella has a puzzled look over Eddie's continued repeating of his last word.
[19:11:43] <Calawyn> "See, a few days ago, someone who looks just like you told me that Ares had an interesting fortune. And by exact, I mean down to the clothes," Rook explains.
[19:11:56] <DMentia> "Especially the pin." he adds
[19:12:04] <General-EbonRose> He frowns. "Ah..."
[19:12:06] <Calawyn> "Yes, pin, as well."
[19:12:21] <General-EbonRose> "What did I... I mean he do?"
[19:12:11] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava suddenly looks bored now, and she absently taps her fingers against the table, being slightly amused. She then looked at him, recognition going into her eyes. "Hey yeah, you're the one who made the group split for the time being."

[19:14:51] <MugenGinga> Stella's eyes widened at Rook's question. That was a actually a really good question, and one she wished she'd thought of. It seemed a little far fetched though... and Eddie confirmed the unlikelihood with his response.
[19:15:10] <SlushpuppieT> "Hmmm?" Kyron gives Cori a very delayed reaction. "Sorry, no, I'm good."
[19:15:11] <Calawyn> "Do you know of anyone who looks like you? I know that's a strange question, but..."
[19:15:58] <General-EbonRose> "No doplegangers... that I know of." He frowns, then glances at his watch.
[19:16:22] <Calawyn> "I see. Well, perhaps one more question, then? Would you be willing to tell us a bit about your pin?"
[19:17:30] <General-EbonRose> He reaches into his coat and pulls out a cane... a cane out of his coat. it's a very lovely cane, topped with a Gold Pheonix, of course, it's curved neck making the handle. It's worth noting perhaps, that there was simply no room for such an object in his coat.
[19:18:03] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava leans forward, "That is one fine cane, good sir." She says with her eyebrow perked.
[19:18:06] <MugenGinga> Stella raises an eyebrow at it but says nothing, but she seems a bit more observant then before.
[19:18:25] <Calawyn> Rook frowns just slightly, but says nothing about this.
[19:18:29] <General-EbonRose> "Thankyou. Commission from Volund himself-"
[19:18:33] <General-EbonRose> "I mean. Uhm."
[19:18:28] <MugenGinga> "That's not a usual coat, is it?" Stella says, suspicion raising a bit.

[19:18:52] <Beau-Penemuel> "Volund?"
[19:19:00] <Beau-Penemuel> "Temples, eh?"
[19:20:10] <General-EbonRose> "And yea. I like this old coat. Nice roomy pockets." He presses his thumb against the back of the Pheonix and holds it up for a moment, looking at it intently.
[19:20:33] <MugenGinga> Stella frowns, unpleased with the lack of direct answer... but then again, she never asked a direct question.
[19:22:14] <DMentia> Ares frowns, noticing the questioning going downhill. "So it sounds like someone was impersonating you, or worse, used you and erased your memory. Doesn't this bother you?" he asks the Inevitable.
[19:22:30] <Beau-Penemuel> "If he doesn't remember then how could it..?"
[19:23:42] <MugenGinga> "The mere idea that he is being used would be plenty to bother some people," Stella told Ava, her voice slightly scolding.
[19:24:00] <Calawyn> "It's like your pin, isn't it? Is a phoenix special?"
[19:24:06] <General-EbonRose> "Uhm. Well. No, I don't think that's what happened, exactly. This sort of thing happens sometimes, you know. I have this problem where things don't happen to me in quite the right order. Infact, I probably shouldn't discuss it considering." He glances at his cane, then rests is between his knees.
[19:24:19] <General-EbonRose> "Oh, yes. It's my sigil."
[19:24:19] <SlushpuppieT> "Of course phoenix are special..."
[19:24:49] <Calawyn> "I see..." Rook frowns, trying to sort this out. "So, it could have been you, but you don't remember...?"
[19:24:52] <MugenGinga> Stella blinked in surprise, "Yours?"
[19:25:01] <MugenGinga> "So not some group you're associated with?"
[19:25:23] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava looks at Stella after the remark, getting slightly annoyed with her maternal scoldings but decides to say nothing.
[19:25:25] <General-EbonRose> "Yes, mine. I'm allowed to have a sigil if I want. And sure... but more like a group associated with me."
[19:25:57] <DMentia> Ares raises an eyebrow at this, instantly understanding the implications and giving the ginger his full attention. He opens his mouth, but again has nothing to say.
[19:26:03] <Beau-Penemuel> "Can you explain a little more about that group?"
[19:26:10] <DMentia> He nods, letting her speak
[19:26:11] <MugenGinga> Stella had opened her mouth to say something, but closed it rather quickly. Gold, red, group...
[19:26:11] <General-EbonRose> "Yes. It most definately maybe could have certainly been me perhaps. And you guys ask way to many questions way to fast."
[19:26:51] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava doesn't look amused at his answer.
[19:26:18] <SlushpuppieT> "The Phoenix is Mandol's servant. You guys are like the servants of Mandol or something?"
[19:27:08] <Calawyn> Rook is careful to not show disappointment at that answer.
[19:27:15] <General-EbonRose> "Ah. No. The regular old Phoenix is Mandol's Servent. I'm the obscure gold one that no one cares about."
[19:27:22] <SlushpuppieT> "Oh..."
[19:27:33] <SlushpuppieT> "You're a phoenix?"
[19:27:38] <Beau-Penemuel> "Yes well the one you don't care about keeps popping up everywhere." She muttered.
[19:27:53] <MugenGinga> Stella has a slight look of concern on her face, but seems to have withdrawn herself from the conversation. The more observant may note she seems to want to leave.
[19:28:43] <General-EbonRose> "No. I'm not literally a phoenix. I'm the Inevitable."
[19:29:01] <Beau-Penemuel> "You said you hated The in it." She said thickly, looking slightly annoyed.
[19:29:26] <General-EbonRose> "Only when people are referring to me. Dropping the The when you'd say it like a name."
[19:30:00] <Beau-Penemuel> She stuck her tongue out in response, quite childishly at that.
[19:30:14] <MugenGinga> Stella's frown deepened at Ava's antics, but she didn't say anything.
[19:30:30] <Beau-Penemuel> She noticed, and she looked at Stella with a soft glare. "Do you have something to say?"
[19:30:37] <General-EbonRose> He sighs, then picks up a bottle on the table and drinks. "By the way. This conversation is completely confidential."
[19:30:48] <Calawyn> "So, let's see if I have this. You may or may not have given me a strange message, because things don't happen to you in the right order. Your sigil is a gold phoenix, which we keep seeing, but you probably don't know why, because things don't happen to you in the right order. Have I got this straight?"
[19:30:59] <DMentia> Ares finally asks a question; "So when you do see Rook and myself, could you tell us a little more about the man that gave you the information?"
[19:31:02] <MugenGinga> "Later," Stella gave a harsh whisper.
[19:31:53] <General-EbonRose> "Yes to Rook, no to you who didn't give me your name?"
[19:32:10] <DMentia> "Oh, sorry, I'm Ares." He nods at the man. "That would cause issues and all that jazz? Or am I confused about what you do?"
[19:32:30] <General-EbonRose> "Awesome. Nice to meet you Ares, again for the first time."
[19:32:40] <SlushpuppieT> "I think I missed something... because that sounded like a lot of made up stuff."
[19:33:01] <General-EbonRose> "Uhm. No, and no, because I assume what I may or may not have said was said that way for a reason anyway."

[19:33:32] <DMentia> Ares nods understandingly. "Makes sense to me."

[19:34:12] <Calawyn> "And if perhaps you are giving us important messages in the future, then thanks for your help."

[19:35:36] <Beau-Penemuel> "Can we trust this guy?" She said to a whisper at Stella, looking serious. "He doesn't trust us so why should we let him into business that might be a bad idea?"

[19:36:25] <Sephs-Filly> Cori blinks, coming to from her daze from all the back and loop de loop conversation, "Hm? Oh! Yes, there's the phoenix on my journal."
[19:36:46] <General-EbonRose> "May I see it?"
[19:37:02] <Beau-Penemuel> She looks doubtfully at Cori, shaking her head a little to tell her to stall.
[19:37:08] <DMentia> Ares smiles a cold smile, but shakes his head at The Inevitable. "Can't have all my secrets."
[19:37:13] <SlushpuppieT> "I think we should go too, cause this guy is obviously just messing with you... but I know no one cares about my opinion."
[19:37:18] <DMentia> "Just know that the symbol has come up often - isn't that the point?"
[19:37:22] <Sephs-Filly> Cori looks at him for a second, then shrugs, reaching into one of her pouches to pull out her journal and hands it over to Eddie
[19:37:38] <MugenGinga> "We do seem to be getting the runaround," Stella said loud enough for the group to hear, "I agree with Kyron."
[19:37:42] <Beau-Penemuel> "How can we trust you when you don't trust us?" She said finally, a little bit of boldness.
[19:37:49] <DMentia> Ares wasn't sure who he was talking to when he asked to see it.
[19:37:52] <General-EbonRose> He whistles. "That is NICE." he says to Cori, apparently ignoring everyone else. then opens it and smiles, relaxing visibly. "Thanks, that's all I needed to know." He hands it back to it's owner.
[19:38:22] <Beau-Penemuel> She looks angry, glaring at Cori as she shoved her shoulder a little in a, 'Didn't I tell you to wait?"
[19:38:22] <General-EbonRose> "Oh? But I do trust you. Obviously." He points to the book.
[19:38:25] <Sephs-Filly> Cori arches a brow, "What did you need to know?"
[19:38:39] <General-EbonRose> "If I could trust you."
[19:38:55] <DMentia> Ares gives him an odd look. "See a bit of your own style in that symbol, then?" He has an odd suspicion, but voicing it would sound too strange.
[19:39:25] <General-EbonRose> "I suppose."
[19:39:54] <Beau-Penemuel> "That's not an answer. That's a hint. Yes or no."
[19:39:55] <DMentia> "Did you draw it? Will you?"
[19:40:10] <DMentia> This simple statement basically summed up his theory
[19:40:18] <General-EbonRose> He smiles. "Yea."
[19:40:32] <General-EbonRose> "Right then! This conversation, ends now! Right here, no more."
[19:40:54] <Beau-Penemuel> "I don't think so, buddy. If your designs are the same as ours, then your design is more than just non important."
[19:41:13] <General-EbonRose> "What?"
[19:41:38] <MugenGinga> "Ava, he said the conversation is over. Shouldn't we be going?" Stella said, as perturbed as ever.
[19:42:04] <Beau-Penemuel> She was silent, looking at the man suspiciously. "I guess we should." She said bitterly.
[19:42:34] <Calawyn> "Well, then," Rook says, taken aback by the abruptness. "Thank you again."
[19:42:25] <DMentia> He grins. He had a feeling it would be this way. "Appreciate your time. I'd really like to know, though... what do you hope to accomplish? Any life goals? What might we be trying to do?" He stands, ready to leave
[19:42:26] <Sephs-Filly> "What were we hoping to gain from this conversation again?" Cori tucks her journal away
[19:42:32] <General-EbonRose> Eddie smiles. "That subject anyway, Want I should by you drinks. I don't want hard feelings between friends capable of kicking my ass into the next state."
[19:42:54] <Beau-Penemuel> "No thank you, I don't drink."
[19:43:22] <General-EbonRose> "Shame. And, Ares, Yes, I suppose I have a life goal. Can't go into it now, I don't think. Not yet."
[19:43:30] <Sephs-Filly> Cori stands, since most seem to be reading to go.
[19:43:33] <DMentia> He shrugs. "How about some drinks, then?"
[19:44:10] <MugenGinga> Stella gives a worried look towards Ares. It's pretty blatant she would like to separate from the man like five minutes ago.
[19:44:36] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava gives a reassuring pat on Stella's shoulder. "How about we just leave instead."
[19:45:21] <MugenGinga> And Stella... doesn't react poorly.
[19:45:32] <Sephs-Filly> "No need to torment the guy any further. He obviously won't budge, he'll just talk us in circles again." Cori grunts
[19:51:12] <General-EbonRose> He stands. "You ladies make my beer sour. Go away then. Run along and nurture your suspicions."
[19:51:12] <Sephs-Filly> Cori shakes her head, muttering, "Bit of a bitter man.."
[19:51:31] <General-EbonRose> "I'm not bitter. I'm irritated."
[19:51:51] <Beau-Penemuel> "Yeah well you make my mood sour so maybe it evens out the playing field then." She glared.
[19:52:00] <Sephs-Filly> "You didn't give us much reason to forget our suspicions, you only made then worse." Cori shakes her head, "Nevermind, no fighting. I've had enough of that for one day."
[19:52:29] <Calawyn> "Oh, dear. Come on, everyone. No one's getting hurt here, right? How about I buy dinner for everyone?" Rook says, standing. "There's no reason for us to not be getting along."
[19:52:50] <General-EbonRose> He narrows his eyes. "Would it have been better if I said nothing at all? I revealed more information about myself that I ever do to acquaintances. I guess you just remind me as to why."
[19:53:09] <SlushpuppieT> Kyron stands up and looks happy at the word 'dinner'. "Oh man... I'm starving..."
[19:53:16] <Sephs-Filly> "Dinner sounds like a fine idea Rook." Cori smiles
[19:53:20] <SlushpuppieT> "Forgot to eat in-between fights...."
[19:53:16] <Beau-Penemuel> "You mean by saying things and adding, " maybe" and "perhaps" that wasn't a yes or no answer but a hint around the bush?"
[19:53:26] <MugenGinga> Stella has clammed up by this point, well aware she's made a mess of the situation. But she really would like to go.
[19:53:53] <General-EbonRose> "I'd love to get along." he signs. "It's my favorite thing to do. But answer my question, Would it have been better if I had said nothing?"
[19:54:12] <Sephs-Filly> "Come on everyone, we're all tired and short tempered." Cori starts to try and get everyone moving before things start to deteriorate any more.
[19:54:17] <Beau-Penemuel> She looked at him, contemplating her answer. "I suppose I don't know."
[19:54:30] <Calawyn> "No, no!" Rook hurries to assure him. "You were very helpful."
[19:54:35] <MugenGinga> Stella hesitated, "I appreciate what honesty you've given us."
[19:55:06] <Beau-Penemuel> She grumbled, "Yeah I guess what Stella said."
[19:55:17] <Sephs-Filly> Cori nods, "Yes, thank you."
[19:56:14] <General-EbonRose> The annoyance in his features vanish instantly and he smiles, jovial as ever. "I'm sorry I couldn't have helped you more. Good luck, and until next time." He tips and invisible hat.
[19:56:36] <Beau-Penemuel> She grumbled, saying nothing.
[19:56:25] <DMentia> Ares smiles. "No drinks?"
[19:56:48] <General-EbonRose> "next time."
[19:57:18] <DMentia> Ares thinks for a moment. "Probably not your next time, but maybe mine."
[19:57:18] <SlushpuppieT> "Next time we see you, or next time you see us?" Kyron asks sarcastically.

[19:57:44] <SlushpuppieT> "It's not a good point, that's ridiculous!"

[19:57:57] <Sephs-Filly> Cori wishes she could reach the boys ears so she could drag them off

[19:59:06] <DMentia> Ares grins. "Sounds great. And, really, they're not so bad." he says, only loud enough to be heard by the few near them. he gestures to the rest of the group. "just a bit slow on the uptake."

[20:01:20] <Sephs-Filly> Cori nods a goodbye, smiling, before turning to Kyron, "You have a preference?"

[20:16:20] <DMentia> Ares relaxes in his seat, finally taking a minute to look over at Stella. "Sooooo why did you want to get away from him so bad?"

[20:17:22] <MugenGinga> Stella looks up as Ares addresses her, and takes the time to swallow her mouthful before speaking, "I don't know about the will happen hasn't happened stuff, but... there's a chance he may be... or is associated with those assassins we've been researching."

[20:17:57] <DMentia> He nods, finishing a mouthful. "I think he creates the guild
[20:18:08] <DMentia> "But he's also the person that's been sending us letters and messages."
[20:18:18] <MugenGinga> "And those pheonix symbols... red and gold? Those are the same colors that arrow used," Stella said with an nod.
[20:18:24] <DMentia> "Or he will be, when he gets older."
[20:18:32] <DMentia> "Assuming what he said was true."
[20:18:45] <SlushpuppieT> "Why would it be?"
[20:18:53] <DMentia> "I wanted to spend more time to with him so I could figure out whether or not he was lying" he glares at Stella. "But. I. Couldn't."
[20:19:07] <Calawyn> "Assuming. But, there are strange things in this world, and I think it's rude to accuse someone of lying if you don't know that they're a liar."
[20:19:14] <MugenGinga> "He was talking in circles, so I'm not sure we can trust most of what he said," Stella said to Ares... before he glared at her. She frowned, "I apologize for that. I handled it badly."
[20:19:26] <MugenGinga> "By the time I brought myself under some semblance of control, I'd already blown it."
[20:19:47] <DMentia> He shrugs nonchalantly, poking at his food. "It happens. But if he was telling the truth, then he's the man giving us letters."
[20:19:59] <DMentia> "There's also the chance the man giving us letters hired him and he's a very good liar."
[20:20:09] <SlushpuppieT> "I think he's lying but still is the person giving you the letters."
[20:20:12] <DMentia> "But he seemed to be an honest person, through and through."
[20:20:23] <MugenGinga> "I couldn't tell if he was lying or not... he didn't seem to be..."
[20:20:15] <Sephs-Filly> "Why would he be doing that if he created the assassins?"
[20:20:24] <DMentia> He shrugs. "Complicated. Maybe he disagrees with them."
[20:20:32] <DMentia> "But maybe they won't follow him. And so he wants to lead you around them."
[20:21:13] <DMentia> "We need to follow his directions a while before we can figure out what they're really accomplishing."
[20:21:33] <MugenGinga> Stella glanced at Rook, "Would there be any reason for a group of elite assassins to associate themselves with Mandol? I don't know much more than a few stories and common knowledge on the gods, so..."
[20:21:44] <Sephs-Filly> "Isn't that how it always is, looking from the inside out?"
[20:21:45] <SlushpuppieT> "He said they're not associated with Mandol."
[20:22:04] <MugenGinga> Stella frowned at Kyron, "And if he's lying on anything, can we trust anything he said?"
[20:22:48] <SlushpuppieT> "It wasn't the same phoenix symbol..."
[20:22:54] <DMentia> "Maybe we should research this golden phoenix he was talking about."
[20:23:03] <Sephs-Filly> "Any way we can put business aside till dinner's over? I nearly can't eat my steak." Cori points her fork at a nearly raw steak in front of her.
[20:23:04] <Calawyn> Rook shakes her head at Stella's question. "Nothing obvious comes to mind."
[20:23:10] <SlushpuppieT> "As far as I know there is only one phoenix, but he said it's an obscure phoenix."
[20:23:30] <SlushpuppieT> "So maybe there's more."
[20:23:43] <DMentia> "We'll try the library tomorrow"
[20:23:50] <DMentia> He scarfs down a bit more of the pork.
[20:23:52] <SlushpuppieT> "Or it's just the idea of what The phoenix itself is, not that it serves Mandol."
[20:25:08] <MugenGinga> "Well, assuming he wasn't running us in complete circles, the whole rebirth aspect may relate to what he was trying to say about in our past and his future."
[20:25:49] <SlushpuppieT> "I'd believe everything he said if he was actually a member of the assassin's league or whatever they are."
[20:26:03] <DMentia> "Or the leader?"
[20:26:07] <MugenGinga> Stella paused to take a bite before continuing, "In any case, the previous angles came up empty. I couldn't find the man relating to the horse."
[20:26:25] <SlushpuppieT> "From what's been said of how perfect these assassin's are, knowing who was going to become what in the future would be highly beneficial."
[20:26:42] <SlushpuppieT> "Kill random nobodies who would one day rule a town or somehting."
[20:27:02] <SlushpuppieT> "No one cares about people killing a nobody."
[20:27:14] <SlushpuppieT> "But if someone kills someone important, people are up in arms."
[20:27:19] <DMentia> He shrugs. "maybe. If he can time travel, maybe that's what he does."
[20:27:21] <Beau-Penemuel> "No one is a nobody." She said a little defensively.
[20:27:23] <DMentia> "Maybe they follow him for that."
[20:27:26] <MugenGinga> Stella frowned, "If they DO know the future... that would explain their efficiency, but doesn't it put us at a insurmountable disadvantage?"
[20:27:34] <Sephs-Filly> Cori is eating her steak diligently, listening the entire while
[20:27:46] <DMentia> "It seems HE knows the future. They don't."
[20:27:48] <SlushpuppieT> "We don't become important people obviously."
[20:27:59] <DMentia> "He knows you, and he's kept you from death so far. "
[20:28:14] <DMentia> "I'm convinced he's not working with them, until I hear more."
[20:28:23] <DMentia> "He could have had you killed."
[20:28:33] <SlushpuppieT> "So we shouldn't worry about it and assume the assassin's are good guys, or we should be paranoid and believe that all of society is a complicated plot run by them... in which case they might still be good guys."
[20:28:52] <DMentia> "Oh no. They're all still bad guys."
[20:29:01] <MugenGinga> Stella frowned, unable to come up with a valid argument due to Ares' points. She shook her head, "I'm heading back to that man's place tomorrow, his neighbor said he'd be there then. What is everyone else planning on doing?"
[20:29:08] <DMentia> "But their leader is a good guy. But he can't make them stop, so he helps us stop them."
[20:29:17] <SlushpuppieT> "That sounds confusing."
[20:29:17] <DMentia> He shrugs. "That's my theory in progress. Could change. We don't know much."
[20:29:25] <SlushpuppieT> "Unlike what I said."
[20:29:41] <DMentia> He shakes his head, and answers Stella. "I need to buy materials for and make some ammunition."
[20:29:47] <SlushpuppieT> "What man?"
[20:29:50] <DMentia> "And then we should try again on the man with the horse."
[20:30:00] <Calawyn> Rook listens to the conversation quietly, thoroughly enjoying some real food.
[20:30:04] <Beau-Penemuel> Ava picks at her food, almost finished. "Yeah I need to visit him, I have a surprise from him."
[20:30:15] <MugenGinga> Stella gave Kyron a dull look, "The man Carter asked us to talk to."
[20:30:30] <SlushpuppieT> "Oh, the horse guy?"
[20:30:38] <MugenGinga> And then she looked towards Ava, "Surprise from him...?"
[20:30:51] <Beau-Penemuel> "He left me a note with a message saying I would get a present from him."
[20:31:15] <MugenGinga> Stella almost facepalmed, "Oh right, the letter. Just don't cause problems..."
[20:32:02] <Beau-Penemuel> "How can I cause problems? I'm not the one who crumbled earlier." She said blatantly, looking at her. "I may be blunt and a little rude but that doesn't mean I cause problems. I just.. Annoy people."
[20:32:24] <Calawyn> Rook holds her tongue on this.
[20:32:00] <SlushpuppieT> "Cori got a job from this crazy nut who has a walking safe."
[20:32:24] <Sephs-Filly> Cori snickers, nearly choking on her water at Kyron comment
[20:32:47] <MugenGinga> Stella scowled at Ava, but one would have to say the point went to her because she didn't comment back.

[20:33:19] <SlushpuppieT> "He was offering like... 10 times as much as the arena money."
[20:33:30] <MugenGinga> Stella frowned, "Doesn't' that seem suspicious?"
[20:33:30] <DMentia> Ares thinks for a moment. "oh, wait. I forgot to tell you guys."
[20:33:43] <DMentia> "My letters were signed 'Your friend, The Inevitable'. I didn't even tell him that."
[20:33:47] <Beau-Penemuel> She scowled back, but then her face relaxed. " I don't understand why you hold such negative emotions held against me. I treat you like a friend." She smirked, before adding, "Suspicious or valuable, who knows. Money is money."
[20:33:55] <SlushpuppieT> "He's a crazy nut. I figure he has lots of money and doesn't actually know what it's worth."
[20:35:04] <Sephs-Filly> "Mostly I wonder how it got out, he couldn't tell the answers to most things. But, depending on where I find it, if he's willing to pay, little do I care."
[20:33:57] <DMentia> He shrugs at the lack of response, digging into his food.
[20:34:05] <Beau-Penemuel> "Why didn't you?" She said looking at him.
[20:34:31] <Calawyn> "That would have been good to mention, but nothing can be done about it now."
[20:34:16] <MugenGinga> "You're reckless," Stella mumbled in response to Ava.
[20:34:26] <Beau-Penemuel> "And you're terrible under pressure."
[20:34:52] <MugenGinga> "I slipped up ONCE. How many times have you tried to trip someone during a tense situation?" Stella responded to Ava.
[20:35:06] <Beau-Penemuel> "It's called comic relief, haven't you ever heard of that? Hrm?"
[20:35:06] <DMentia> "I didn't even really remember it, I had to check it on the way here." he says between mouthfuls
[20:35:48] <DMentia> "But he at least still seems to be trying to help us. That's good to know, if nothing else." He seems to be tuning out everyone else.
[20:35:17] <MugenGinga> "It's only funny until someone gets killed," Stella replied."
[20:35:52] <Beau-Penemuel> "Well I'll make sure to stay away from you, negative Nancy." She shot back, grinning. "You shouldn't take me so seriously, you know."
[20:36:09] <DMentia> (our D&D dinners are awesome)
[20:36:24] <MugenGinga> "If you relax, you die. And I don't want you getting anyone here killed."
[20:36:50] <Beau-Penemuel> "Is that what your motto is? Is that why you've been such a stick in the mud?"
[20:37:46] <MugenGinga> "Careful and 'stick in the mud' are two different things," Stella said, "You could do with at least a little more value on your life and that of those around you."
[20:37:52] <Sephs-Filly> Cori finally tunes into what Ares is saying, "The letter in my journal was signed the same way as your letters Ares..."
[20:38:21] <DMentia> Ares nods at Cori, chewing, saying nothing.
[20:37:59] <Calawyn> Rook looks between Ava and Stella. "Calm down, you two. We'll never get anywhere if we fight amongst ourselves."
[20:38:44] <MugenGinga> Stella frowns at Rook's admonishment, but rather than defying her goes to focusing on her food.
[20:38:56] <Beau-Penemuel> She was silent for a moment before finally saying, "I value everyone, even when you've been a maternal stick in the mud I suggested we go for your comfort. I suggest you look at the little things." She then quieted, taking in her food.
[20:39:23] <Calawyn> Rook watches them for a moment, but is satisfied that the fighting has stopped.
